Chevrolet

This drawing is inspired by Louis Joseph Chevrolet, who died on June 6, 1941. He was a Swiss-American race car driver and mechanic of French descent. He began his career as a mechanic and chauffeur in several cities, and in 1906, at age 20, he broke speed records in his first races. In 1911, he co-founded the Chevrolet Motor Car Company with William Durant, creating several cars for the brand. However, in 1914 he parted ways with Durant due to differences of approach and sold his shares, losing the right to use his name for future cars. Durant retained the Chevrolet name, capitalizing on its popularity due to his association with the famous racer.
