This drawing is inspired by the International Day of Deafblindness, declared in honor of the birth of Helen Keller, on June 27, 1880. Helen was an American deafblind writer, speaker and political activist, who at the age of nineteen months suffered a serious illness that caused her to lose her vision and hearing completely.
